Carl,

As usual you are responding to assertions I never made with your usual "proof by link approach."

" This is true only in the sense that most people are not technically acquainted with the details to be absolutely totally certain what will happen, but here are some things to bear in mind:" Huh....

Well not that this makes much difference to RAMBUS but where are the DDR systems? We are not talking about familiarity with technical details but the availability of systems. Where are they?

There are also no DDR-II systems on the market. In fact, JEDEC is still arguing about DDR-II its not out of committee. I am looking forward to the day when we can actually talk about something real and run real benchmarks to discuss. But so far NADA.

I never said that companies were not designing DDR systems.
We have reports of DDR platforms going back to October of last year. But there is no product on the market. There is also are no reports of DDR systems at beta test sites of which I am aware. There are many reports of P4 systems at beta test sites. At least INTEL is being careful with the P4 and doing lots of Beta testing. They have given the OEMS and software companies plenty of systems to upgrade their drivers and other software. But I have heard a peep about DDR systems being available for the neccessary tweeking. Have You?

:)
