i'm amazed at how much golf membership can cost. the price varies so much from place to place.

$200k to put a bag on the tee box is a chunk of change in 1990 AND today!!!

it's just a matter of perspective. i'd pay 200k if i were bill gates and had no money concerns. there are obviously people who can afford that price tag. hell,,,they'd only need 10 members to keep the place running...-g-

me,,,i just play where i can. i don't belong to any clubs. too much of a cheapie to pay for that luxury,,besides, i'm moving to florida in a month, and the membership at the local country club is like 3-4k and monthly dues of around 200. maybe i'll fork that over...we'll see.
