Petey - Re: "We have not heard that Intel contradicts anything that Tom has said. "

Intel is $32 Billion corporation - and Tom PabstSmear is an egomaniacal, AMD loving/Intel-hating twit.

His screw ups deserve no public comment from Intel.

I'm sure Intel's FAE's have been in touch with Tom PabstSmear to try and figure out how he - and HE ALONE - managed to botch the 1.13 GHz Pentium III.

He probably plugged it in backwards !

Re: "Now even those sites that you cite, have said that they have had the 1.1 GHz Tbirds for several weeks now"

No kidding ?

Wow - did ever occur to you that, except for dim-witted Tom PabstSmear , Anand and Sharky and Planet Hardware MUST HAVE HAD their 1.13 GHz Pentium III CPUs for several weeks as well?

Paul

Pete, <We have not heard that Intel contradicts anything that Tom has said.>

It's normal for Intel PR to make no comment regarding anything Tom's Hardware Guide (or any other enthusiast's web site) says. In fact, I think it's part of Intel's policy not to respond in these cases.

On the other hand, I know quite a few coworkers who have ... uh ... not very flattering things to say about Herr Uberclockermeister.
