Re: "The part works at <850MHz, but not at any higher speeds. This is an indication of a speed problem, rather than a defect. Had the part been mishandled, the symptoms would be non-functional, rather than slow. To suggest that Tom damaged the part is absurd."

Maybe Tom tried soldering something? Anyway, it's obvious from his refusal to return the part that he's done something to it. It would be so easy to clear this up but only a guilty man would accuse a company then refuse to show the part.

You probably believed Clinton.

SCUMbria - re: "To suggest that Tom damaged the part is absurd."

Why ?

His sit-on-the-potty-and-pout refusal to return the part to Intel is almost an ADMISSION by this jack ass that he mucked up the part and doesn't want Intel to discover what a screw up he is.

Pure and simple.

On the bright side, I hear Uberclockermeister will be doing an extensive test on a few thousand Dupalons that have "suddenly" become available to him !
