Yup i am sure you are right.

Perhaps AMD can have a yield bust at fab 25.

And then the good news will be that AMD will be shipping only copper tbirds.

In the ensuing shortage ASPs would rocket.

By AMD shipping say 1.5M CPU's Tbirds with an ASP of say $600 or so.

I suspect this may be AMD's secret strategy.

Hell we would earn $2/share and have a PE below 10 surely this would rally the stock price to the moon.

Niceguy might even wax poetic on this scenario.

Goutama, I respectfully disagree. Entirely. Assuming AMD is in fact using available space for Athlons vs Durons - given the shortage in that area - what the hell could INTC could have done. Nothing. They're selling all the PIIIs they can make. Obviously they're not giving this guidance to the people who matter. And that's not an opinion - it's reflected in the share price.
