AMD is clearly branching out to ALi (I know, I know), SiS, and it's own 760 going forward.

Perhaps they have finally learned?

I never found this whole thing reasonable. Over the last year or two, there were other people on this thread including Kash who have felt this situation stunk. You just don't tie-up an entire new product ramp time-after-time on the same partner who puts you on lower priority, potentially competes with you at the low-end and has a spotty track record.

You make hay when the sun shines. The Sun has been shining on 1 AMD Place ever since Athlon was ready for production. The guys out there making decisions have made many mis-steps to squander the opportunity.

The good thing for the longs is that this opportunity is not going away anywhere for a while. And these infrastructure problems are largely behind us except for the Athlon/Duron laptop side. Let's see how well that gets handled.
