Hi Vaughn,

Was able to follow the url and read the NR. It's interesting.

The property is not located near Sudbury being a hundred miles or so to the NNE of it. It's actually reasonably close to where I grew up. Their property description west of Matachewan sounds about where my sister-in-law's cottage was.

Their reference to komatiites is not unique. They occur at many locations throughout the area.
Case in point: if you have a quiet moment, read the geology of the old Potter mine near Timmins. It's at millstreammines.com and the fastest paper is probably by Gibson. It's a VMS type base metal deposit with komatiitic flows over it. The deposit is now vertical with strike roughly east/west and later flows to the north. Reading the reports, you'll see reference to komatiites, peridotite, etc. which makes it sound more like a nickel bet than copper.

I mention this only because of PGMs. When such properties were explored, cu/zn/pb/ni/au/ag etc were the targets, not PGMs. If minor stringer and/or disseminated sulphides were found, interest faded. Massives were needed. There are hundreds if not thousands of such mineral occurrences. I doubt PGMs were assayed at many of them.

With PGMs now in vogue, suspect we may see change. I can imagine old cores being looked at again for hints of PGMs. Suspect we'll also be hearing some improbable stories of great new potential and words like komatiites thrown around. I'm a skeptic Vaughn but you never know.
