"I installed mine about 4 months ago, believe me the old saw about "500 channels and nothing's on" is still so true."

Ray- A series of questions I hope you don't mind answering:

1. Who again is your MSO?
2. Whose STB(set-top box) did you get when you upgraded to digital TV services?
3. And can you give me info on the IPG(interactive program guide)? In the onscreen guide, there is probably an, "About," option. Much like a software program on a PC.

The price points appear to be varied depending upon the competition between the MSO and DBS. I'm surprised to read that DBS has come down rapidly in price to undercut the MSO. But I suppose I shouldn't be. That's what competition is about. And I was very surprised to hear ftth's Digital TV package was going to end up LESS than his current analog package.

4. What price/month did you pay for your old analog TV package?
5. What price/month is the upgraded digital TV package?
6. What is the price/month of a comparable DBS package?
7. Even with digital TV capabilities, your MSO is still not able to offer you a cable modem, right?

Thanks. -MikeM(From Florida)

PS 500 channels and, "Nothing is on," is right on IMO too. But that doesn't keep it from being popular.<g>
