You and the dismal "guys" will proven to be wrong this month. I sensed from Greenspan's testimony that he was waiting to see the effects of the newly imposed rate increases on the economy for the next few months before he decides to increase rates again.

I still say these 'mixed-messages' on economic data reports will nudge the Greenman toward the rate increase side of the August 22 FOMC decision (O.K., I'll give you 60/40 on the side of rate increase right now).

On the other hand [as Greenspan himself might put it <BG>] I still want to see the PRODUCTIVITY data next week...and maybe the PPI....and maybe the CPI...<VBG>
