I would say both AMD and Intel down is not a good sign.

Bad news causes huge sell offs - just see the klic/mot sell off.

Earnings have generally been good but stocks are much lower AMD/INTC are examples of this.

Now folks are looking for cisco - if they bomb the market tanks. If the beat then we may move sideways and then folks will worry about AMAT. If AMAT even sounds cautious - they will likely tank the sox.

This is classic bear market methinks.

If cisco or AMAT miss AMD and most likely Intel will likely run into 50's.

A nasty market IMHO.
