Fibonacci Watchi

I don’t know if you are the other thread members are “Fibbers”. I have not studied it much but I have noticed that the last two Nasdaq Market turns have hit the most common Fib ratio of .618 of their immediately preceding waves within a few thousandths.

Let’s take the mid July high of 4289 (turning point).
It’s preceding low was 3024 on May 24th.
And before that we have the 5078 high made in March (the second half of the double top).

5078 (High) – 3042 (Low) = 2036
4289 (Turn) – 3042 (Low) = 1247

Ratio = 1247/2036 = .612475

Using the .618 ratios to predict the turn:

3043 + (.618 x 2036) = 4300 (within 11 points)

Lets take this Thursday’s (8/31) intraday low of 3521. (Granted this may not end up being a major market turn but there was a lot of money to be made in the last 2 days.)

Previous High: 4289
Previous Low: 3042

4289 (high) – 3042 (low) = 1247
4289 (high) – 3521 (turn) = 768

Ratio = 768/1247 = .615

Using .618 ratio to predict the turn

4289 – (.618 * 1247) = 3518 (within 3 points)

Coincidence?

Zeev, I've noticed you have exchanged comments with DW "Market Timer of the Year". He professes the long term hold strategy. Now why would you have an interest in exchanging conversation with him and especially on the holy thread. Will he wind up on your ignore list because of his loyal tendencies?

Time will tell.

And Zeev, you said you will not respond to "proding" on this subject.

You know darn well many holy shareholders follow your posts and yet you, Tim, and Larry like to mock the prevailing attitude on the holy thread. Making fun of loyal honest shareholders. For the life of me Zeev with all your market acumen I wonder why you sometimes stoop to such antagonistic levels.

I came here to learn a little about daytrading, thats all. Now lets go ahead and drop the subject and get back to figuring out what I'm going to do with my rmbs Aug 100 calls. (VBG)

Good Luck Zeev,
