ps.. i think I'm gonna cancel AOLA, ESPR and CHPC this weekend ; oh and I sold all my GGNT that I got at 29 1/2 and 23 1/2 at 22 .. OUCH!! it should go back up now.. every IPO I flip goes UP after I sell ... those that I dont buy at all.. they go up too (CORV, AVCI, BLUE, SPWX) and those that I choose to buy in the open market crash (STLW and GGNT) -- do the opposite of what I do and you can retire in 2 years

Chop

I think they just tried to push too many out at the same time ...
The quality issue will remain strong regardless
It is the borderline that people refuses to play on a day that you have 5 or 6 issues coming out ... traders just don't have enough money to play every issues and they know damn well that it is safer to play the one with quality

From MarketWatch,

Next week, the IPO market should be no different from this eventful week. Industry watchers forecast that IPO underwriters will attempt to price in the neighborhood of 50 deals.

However, the high number of IPOs being rushed out the door may have a negative impact on the overall health of the new-issues market in the near term.

"We are just amazed by the irresponsible acts to which the underwriters are subjecting investors," said David Menlow of IPO Financial. "The September resurgence that we usually see will be damaged by all of this overhead supply."
