I am just curious, why you think you will be able to buy stocks much cheaper in Aug/OCT.Is that not in the same essence trying to Time or MOMO, which as per your own confession has not worked??

I have also watched my own portfolio go down but stayed away from options, leaps and trading/timing, because I don't feel I am not experienced enough to be good at it at this point.

With the exception of a couple of stocks most have come back from their recent lows.

What Mike wrote you was great.A simple way of looking at it is, either be a longterm investor with all or a portion of your money in the market and leave it alone or cash out and only reinvest in the market until you feel you can handle the risk of losing a lot of it.

I think its foolish to believe stocks should expand their PE's from 200 to 400 and when it goes the other way we get upset. It is complacency and lack of DD on stocks we hold that is the core of our own downfall.
