El Alamein is a white horse and Reagan did ride him.

Did you ever see the movie "Back to the Future" do you remember the reaction of Dr. Brown from his question, "All right space boy who is the president in 1985?".

Read enough SI posts and you will understand that practically everybody is trying to sell something.

Yes, I think he had a horse. It may have been white. I know he had the statutory 30 head (I think that's the number) of cattle on the Ronald Reagan "Ranch".

My problem is that I don't like many Presidents or their policies. Maybe I would have liked Carter, but not his weak leadership. At least Clinton is trying to be something than the "I scored with the intern" President lately. That's a step in the right direction. But politics is an ugly business. Nixon was quoted as saying, and I paraphrase, that people wouldn't like the attributes in their children that made them a good President. Look at him, what a ball of contradictions! There's things that he really did right (China) as well as being the Watergate President.

And talk about Teflon, look at JFK and LBJ escalating the Viet Nam War, but somehow Nixon got the bulk of the blame. That is the weird circle of politics. We just shouldn't lose the truth through the sound bites.
