no, your right, it's not as immediately destructive as SOME drug abuse...but it's probably as destructive as a lot of drug abuse in the long run. Depends on the person, the drug, and the age, IMO. I figure it's probably just as difficult to lose weight as it is to kick certain habits...but, I guess I'm not really qualified to judge that at all since I've never really tried either.

I've actually thought about moving to DC or nearby on several occasions. Theres a lot of good tech jobs up there (just like here), and it would be a nice change of pace I think. Think it might get a little cold for me though. I've actually thought about moving out of the States entirely on more than one occasion as well. I have a good friend that just moved back from Sydney, and he said it was really awesome.

The Southern belles of the deep South used to spend sultry afternoons on their porches snorting cocaine from "snuff" boxes with their other lady friends. Many lived well into their 70s, 80s, 90s. They were both "fat" and on drugs!

Fat is not as immediately destructive as drug abuse...
