mindmeld, I don't know if you have noticed that Nortel and Cisco have practically identical trailing PEs of about 120. I base this on earnings for last four quarters of .65/share for NT and .55/share for CSCO. The market views these two companies as co-leaders in networking equipment. Good luck with your Cisco tomorrow.

Why wouldn't CSCO move up if there is a leak of good numbers from CSCO?

Besides, the two stocks have been tracking in OPPOSITE direction so I wouldn't put any correlation on NT going up even if CSCO reports great numbers and shoot up in price.
