Mark, The Montrose area is the gay community in Houston. It used to be a bunch of older, but nice homes, but has been changed into all sorts of drinking places, and weird floor show kind of places. They show what is going on down there on local news all the time, because there is an arson, or some other crime, in that area quite frequently. I grew up near there, but was long gone before these changes were made. A.J. Foyt used to have his stock cars worked on near the area, back when he was only about 18, and racing on a quarter mile dirt track, out at Playland Park, way out on South Main. ~H~
