Cirrus, Re: The Register confirms price drops are next week rather than the end of the month. 1.1 GHz Thunderbird coming out two weeks early? IMO quite possible (otherwise the price drops wouldn't make much sense because AMD wouldn't have a high margin >$600 product left). I'll try to find out when those NDAs expire... Andreas

Cirrus, Re: AMD pulling in price drops I don't see any movement in price on Pricewatch that we usually see prior to a price drop. I actually am interested, because I am about to buy 2 Athlon CPUs. I was going to do it this week, but if it looks like I can save $300+ on each, I will probably wait a week. Joe
