Re: Abit Slot A board based on the KX133...

I think there were reports that slot Thunderbirds didn't do well on that board. We have had good experience with their board running classic Athlons. We have worked systems using that board very hard, and it has been flawless.

Regards,

Dan

Re: Abit

I myself may have posted that I was less than crazy about my present Abit motherboard (Dual Celeron BP6). It took the company forever to get a stable BIOS out that worked with W2K. But eventually they did. It is somewhat unrelated to Athlon, but it gives you an idea that their treshold for releasing a product is not very high.

Re: KT7-RAID

Hardware based RAID would be nice, since even though W2K server can do software RAID, there are some limitations and it is not as fast as Hardware RAID. All I am looking for is mirroring (RAID-1).

Re: Asus A7V

Thanks for the link to Asus site. It gives me more hope that it will be a viable option. Asus board is becoming widely available, while I am not sure if anybody has Abit board in stock yet.
