Dan, Re: We have worked systems using that board very hard, and it has been flawless.

Glad to hear the Abit was a good board for you. That's one more in the plus column. What Os were you running? Did you use the machine as a server?

Speaking of servers, remember the application that our old P3 400MHz client and 200 MHz server was taking over 12 minutes to complete? After replacing client and server with Athlon 700 mhz I observed times under 3 minutes for the same operation. I got to thinking that a bottle neck was probably the time the application was spending getting data from and to the server across the network. I got ahold of a 3Com 100 BaseT switch and put between the two Athlon 700s, the time droped to 1 minute and 14 seconds. Since I wrote the application I know (or have a pretty good idea) how much work is being done by those two machines. It just amazes me how many instructions the Athlons are able to execute in that period of time. Simply amazing and faultless execution on both the client and server. I've yet to see a single bobble from either of those two machines. Does the rest of the world know about these Athlons yet?

Kindest regards,
CrazyMan
