...one poopy kid and lobotomized parents

I doubt anyone would be annoyed if the story was about an isolated incident: If it were, most would see the humour of the situation. Trouble is, examples of this 'modern' parenting are not rare. The kids simply haven't been given the opportunity of discovering what types of behaviour are inappropriate and which are acceptable. If the adults in their lives don't know right from wrong themselves, how are they to instill values?

I know it's wrong to blame the kids, but after all, it's the kids who are doing the annoying, and we're only human.

Perhaps we can agree that if one hasn't been instructed, and one hasn't been shown by example, then one should not be expected to know, or criticised for not knowing.

Cheers, PW.

Mike,
I'm 36 and considered a boomer. Go figure, but Soc Sec is gone for me as far as I'm concerned unless Bush wins and we invest it. That was one couple and all others were in dismay. As a matter of fact most of my friends remove themselves from relationships with parents of this nature and also divorced couples depending on circumstances. We just don't want those cancers to enter our marriages.
Regards,
Dutch
