The alternative is renouncing U.S. citizenship, although I don't think that anyone here is quite ready for that yet. The system is beginning to remind me of the old socialist system found in 1950's U.K., among other places, where labor (the Democrats) decide to slather funds to their non-working/underemployed/lower income constituents in order to encourage them to become more dependent upon government largess. It's a vicious cycle, one that's hard for the people to break free from, but one that is necessary for the sake of our Republic. That's why, in my opinion, Ron Reagan was the greatest president of modern times, for attempting to break this cycle of dependency despite opposition from both the Congress and the media. Sorry for the break from jokes, but I had to get my 2 cents in!
