No chance, L-G. Lieberman is a faithful party liberal - ADA voting record - 80%; as high as Kennedy, Harkin, Maxine Waters, et al on the looney left. He will tow the Clinton/Gore line.

He was picked only to give Gore some deodorant against the Clinton smell because he spoke up on the Senate floor of the immorality of Clinton's behavior with Lewinsky. Unfortunately, he never said another word about it or anything else, all but admitted it was necessary to give the Dems some political cover, and voted to acquit Slick. His one claim to fame and the reason for Gore picking him are suspect. I hold his moral values in high regard, but his actions haven't matched his rhetoric.

In short, he was picked because he's one of those moralizing, religious scumbags Rarebird despises and, obviously, could never vote for. Ah ha ha ha ha. Right.

Smart pick on Gore's part. I was hoping he would go with the Massachusett's liberal, Kerry. That would have handed it to GW on a silver platter. Definitely, not a bold pick, though, as the mainstream media would have you believe; it's the only choice he had if he has any hope of decontaminating himself from the most scandal-ridden administration in history. It also puts New York back in the Dem column when it was starting to look very shaky. That's how bad the Dem's internal poll numbers looked last week. The real race stars after Labor Day. We shall see.

Yes, I did see it. So what? I don't see the fundamental economic relevance as it pertains to the POG.

Be Honest with yourself, Richard. There is more respect in that.
