GV,

re: "Great quarter, great company, absurdly priced stock. And 3 months from now, there will be another great quarterly report, all the bulls will gloat, and forget that they are taking a large amount of risk and not getting compensated for it at all."

Take a quick look at the CSCO chart:

siliconinvestor.com

It seem obvious to me that Cisco stock price got ahead of itself from late October '99 through March '00 (as most tech stocks did), and has traded down then flat since then. (for a like period look at the last 1/3 of '98, and the subsequent flat period). I would guess that most of this excess is out of the stock price, and traditional appreciation will resume within the next 3 months.

As far as risk, I think the larger risk may be being out of this stock when it begins to appreciate. As far as being compensated, anyone who bought before November of last year has been compensated very very well.

John

What are you talking about? I have doubled my money every year for 4 years now in this stock. This year, I'm up more than 20% in this stock. I'm not getting compensated? I don't think you see the big picture. You must be a daytrader.
