Before the Lieberman, there was no discussion of the issues except "Lets restore honesty and integrity to the White House."

Just not true. Bush has laid out extensive detailed positions on all the subjects you are interested in. It's not Bush's fault if the media you access ignores substance. Try expanding the range of your news outlets.

Seems to me the Republicans were discussing all these issues. It was Gore and the Democrats who were basically silent.

Now, issues such as campaign finance reform, taxes and social security, prescription drug benefit, school vouchers, gun control, global warming and protection of the environment actually get discussed.
