Sarcasm isn't necessary on this thread, though it can be a fine tool, and a fun one in the right circumstances <gg>. Your points can be made without it, and that helps eliminate the bickering that clogs up most SI threads.

And FWIW, people use the generic term 'earnings' interchangeably with 'net income (loss)' all the time. I don't think anyone will be misled by its use in Kevin's post.
