RE: 5-21 MA crossover patterns. I looked at a number of long entry points on tech stocks using MACD 5-21-0 with MOM 21-22-7 on 12 mo. charts. The upside moves are formidable when MACD buy signal is confirmed by MOM. More frequent whipsaws appear in the MOM while the MACD remains positive. The strategy indicates strong buy signal when both indicators turn positive - hold until MACD deteriorates. Interested in opinions. TIA

Hi John,
Hope all is well with you.

I am curious if you have had any updates from the folks at SSB about the fractal similarity of the current Dow with 1966-1980 (1982). We briefly discussed it last August.

Back then I mentioned that if we were still following the pattern, the Dow should hit 11,400 then pull back to about 10,400 to complete the pattern.

We hit 11,400 0n 9/6 (and will probably see 10,400 in October). Then IF history repeats, we should break to the upside. We will have to see...

Thanks
Susan
