Freeus and Rosie,

I'm in the Tomater club with you.
I've just begun getting ripe tomatoes from my garden.

Man oh man they taste good!

We made a tomato salad the other night.

This is my first year with a real vegetable garden.
I never realized how many termatas I would get by planting 15 assorted plants.
We plan on jarring our own sause.
This past weekend we made 8 containers of of fresh and cooked salsa using some of the hot peppers I planted.

Earlier this year we had a lot of leaf lettuce.
Then the peppers kicked in.
At the same time we were bombarded with zucchini.
I got zucchini up the wahzoo! I never realized how many of those things come off one plant. I planted 6.

The broccholi came up early. They were good.
Carrots didn't do so well.

I have some corn plants that are almost 8 ft. high.
Then I have a few others that are only 4 ft high.
...and then a bunch that got knocked over by the wind and rain.

Overall, I've been very lucky. No major bug problems.
Next year I definitely have to make the garden bigger and give more room inbetween the tomato plants.

I learned a lot.

At least my garden grew a lot more than my portfolio.

...if only tomatoes cost as much as JDSU...
