Original Mad Dog, You and I have rather opposite monikers -- but I certainly enjoyed reading your well-reasoned and well-articulated commentary. Thanks for posting it. Amusingly, I have most of the 14 "symptoms" of ADHD myself, but managed to survive without chemical intervention, as the disease hadn't been invented yet{g}. It may be that this is exactly what it takes to become a successful executive, and I consider most of the "symptoms" to be survival advantages, if managed correctly. It also seems to me that ADD is essentially a characterization of the "hunter" mentality as opposed to the more "agrarian" normal pattern. Level Head

OMD, I agree with much of what you said. When I read this line..when the student population has been pharmaceutically anesthesized to the point of being compliant little drones. only one thing comes to mind..all I can think about is the old movie....."The Stefford Wives" All the wives were little clones of one another. I can still picture the scene in the grocery store where the women are greeting each other. I guess since in our society that will not work with the women, we have resorted to attempting to make compliant little "drones" of the nations children. As you might conclude this does not sit well with my personality type!!! Jane
