Hi Thomas M.; There were hundreds of completely different Confederate notes printed, and they were of varying quality, but it makes a great quote.

I collect obsolete bank notes from hyperinflations. My favorite bills are the ones that have been over stamped by the issuing authority with extra zeros (usually 3), in order to reissue at a higher denomination. There are million mark notes from the German inflation of the 20s that are altered to billion mark notes, for instance. Sort of "refiated" money. Funny thing, the South really didn't have as severe a hyperinflation during the civil war, at least from the point of view of reissuing notes denominated in the millions. Instead, goods just became unavailable. I would guess that this was due to the primitiveness of their economy - they did okay cashless.
