John, if you agree with the notion that 25-35% is a reasonable expectation, for your sake I hope the average CSCO shareholder does not share your view.

Hi John,

yeah, it's reasonable, but with the TMs on this thread having expectations of doubling their money every 30 days, nothing is ever good enough. It just takes losing all your money once to realize if you want to go the distance you have go LTBH. Luckily, I learned this lesson very early in my investing career, when I didn't have much to lose. But the lesson stuck and I've done well since. Now I try to get a >15% return on my money and am happy when I get significantly more, like we all have been getting in the last 3-4 years. But I don't kid myself, cycles come and go and returns will regress to the mean eventually. Either way, LTBHs will the ones with the money at the end of this cycle.
