QS - my G2 from old friends at HP is that Carly does not much understand the box business. Only so far one can go on "charisma"... When people on the CPQ thread were saying "why didn't CPQ get a CEO like Carly instead of a no-name" I responded that I would rather have an execution-oriented CEO who understood the business. That of course is a long term position, since it took Capellas nearly a year to get the results that have finally started to move the stock.

I think HP wandered down a rabbit hole in the deal with Intel, and also does not have any compelling story. Still, their PC business has been doing well (at least in unit growth), especially their consumer business.

The misdecisions may predate her tenure, but her tenure won't survive the consequences. --- Mmm hmmm... I like a way ewe tawk (from Sling Blade). -JCJ
