For the long term, yes, the industry remains cyclical.

For the short term, I've concluded that the people who claim the sky has already started to fall have no sources within the industry. My own most pessimistic estimate puts the peak of the current (equipment) cycle no earlier than early 2001, and I think an early 2002 peak is more likely.
