Institutional Holdings

There appears to be a large discrepancy between the data presented by Media General Financial Services on the NETP web site and Insider Trader.

As of 6/30/00 Media General had 9,664,000 shares held by institutions or 37.1% when Insider Trader had about 24% on that date.

Media General had 124 institutions holding when Insider Trader had 76.

The NETP chart from March to August 1999 is almost exactly the same as for the same period in 2000.

Prior to the decline in 1999, there was the pop for the IPO.

If the chart continues to repeat there should be a steady climb starting next week.

If you use this chart, specify two year chart.

Regarding the low number of shares in Q2 99, that is because the IPO took place on April 23. The number of shares reported was based on a weighted average, and Q2 included a period prior to the IPO averaged with a period following the IPO.
