If you have some cookies to share, it's appropriate to say to someone "hey, I have some cookies, do you want some"? It is not appropriate to start stuffing cookies down that person's throat. The same goes for energy, or ideas. Sharing, like any other relation between two individuals, requires informed consent from both sides. If the "sharing" is aggressive and one sided, it stops being sharing and becomes preaching.

Just look at the children. They are living, walking proof of this. They are the lights of this world. They shall lead.

I know something about children. They are very wonderful, but they can also be self-centered beyond belief and at times appallingly cruel. There are good reasons why children are looked after and guided by adults. The children shall indeed lead, but not until they grow up.
