My field work used seismic refraction in Pleistocene sedimentary and recent volcanic deposits. Groundwater surveys.

So I asked three leading geophysical experts the following question. If the target is in the basement would it be bigger or smaller on a high resolution survey of 100 metres altitude. i.e. would it be bigger, smaller or not there at all.

Is your point that "experts" disagreed, or that different models produce different expectations? From a single, coarse resolution measurement. I'd be reluctant to make a big $ investment based upon a single high altitude survey of a magnetic anomaly. Unless you see the same kind of data near the surface, it could be in the basement, bedrock or in the alluvium. I'd also want some gravimetric surveys.

What are these people looking for? Gold? Other platinum group minerals?

I likw metaphors. They relax me.

Actually, words strung together like love/energy/negativity/fear/black holes/light/peace are not metaphors (figures of speech), but buzz words. If repeated often enough, and used in the same context over and over, they acquire the character of incantations.

IF you are into incantations, may I suggest you go to the Google search machine, and enter the string of words indicated above. You will turn up zillions and zillions of New Age/Human Potential websites, all chanting Frederick's spells.

I find it boring. But you might find it relaxing.
