polvie! Can you put that in 25 words or less?

How about:

New paradigm

Boy meets girl...Lightning strikes them....KAPOWWW!! Then they both (not just the girls) become one with God.

Maybe old paradigm.

love,

dealie :-)

Dear Professor Thomas Elpo Edison,

I've made the following corrections to my Thesis on Grounding.

The reasoning is that the lightning will take the path of least resistance FROM earth ground.
If there is a properly sized conductor grounding the outside equipment, the surge will travel through the wire FROM earth.
In each case the word "FROM" replaces the word "TO".

Thanks for the nice picture you verbally drew for us.

I think the remaining bit about the importance of grounding antennas/satellite dishes/etc. are still intact in the "new pair of dimes". I'll have to investigate it further.

I do recall seeing a "Nova" special on PBS describing the latest theory about the direction of electrons.
I thought I was tuning into one of those old car repair shows like "Shade Tree Mechanic".
It turned out to be a show about lightning.
Instead of naming the show "Nova", I think calling it "Ford Thunderbird" would have been more appropriate...
<rimshot!>

With all this talk about lightning, I've begun thinking about the coming demand in products to help protect against this.
With Echelon putting chips into every appliance known to man I'm wondering how they will protect all this stuff...

One zap from lightning or from rubbing my feet on the carpet and KAPOW! My smart house would become mentally challenged much like myself...

I'm going to go discuss this right now with my blender and smart toaster.
