Does anyone know of software that will do what Pingplotter does from within a browser? Since I got DSL months ago I have a persistent problem that site access hangs up frequently for 30 seconds to a minute, and its irritating. Tech support just ways it's site traffic but I don't think this is the case, mainly because it's too frequent and the browser message says "connecting to site xyz", instead of "website found, waiting on reply". I've used Pingplotter but this behavior is quite random and occasional testing with pp never shows any problems. So I'd really like to find something that works from within the browser to do what pp does and then maybe I could determine what the problem is. Thanks.

Dave

Curiosity kills me... Who manufactured that card?

"I once had a video card that was billed as a 6 meg card. Four meg was allocated to 3D and two meg was allocated to 2D."

This is just a personal "ouch". Spent the last 10 hours chasing down a system crash after I booted my 2 monitor system. Took the first 7 to rule out windows. My home network to pcs #3 and 4 stayed up after the freeze. Then I saw that the crash stopped completely when I dropped off my usual high resolution to 640.

Updating drivers but I wonder if one of the cards has gone sour. What is a natural failure rate for an AGP (ati rage) vs a pci display adaptor (sti velocity). Just wondering if the newer agp technology means a few more bad circuits.
