Lewinsky-Dan - Re: "We'll see how things stand when AMD has shipped it's 10 millionth 64-bit processor "

I think we'll have to see if AMD ever ships its FIRST Hamster 64 bitter.

Re: "AMD looks to be producing equal numbers of 32 and 64 bit processors by the end of next year. "

No sh*t ?

I can't even see what tomorrow will bring, but you can see 18 months ahead?

I'm impressed?

By the way - It is now mid-August - where are all those AMD SMP Servers that were going to be announced this month ?

After all, you told us this just 2 months ago - and YOU CAN SEE TWO MONTHS AHEAD - can't you?

And don't be your usual twit-self and ask for a LINK to your stupid prediction - I've done that at least twice already in recent weeks.

Paul

Lewinsky-Dan - Re: "The Linux vendors will embrace X86-64 as fast as they dump IA-64."

You bring a whole new meaning to word Blow-Hard !!

How many Linux vendors were present with AMD on their conference call - and how many promised Linux support for the Hamster ?

Hi Dan3; Re Linux porting to AMD's 64-bit machines...

I thought that all you needed to get Linux ported to a new machine was a programmer, 100 bottles of Jolt, 3 dozen servings of Thai take-out food (five star), a machine to test the code with, and two weeks. Why should they bother with supporting the machines before they're ready?
