I didn't notice the instant download on that link because to get to that link I went through some pages addressing what I was trying to do. On my system, the download starts and I get to approve of it before it continues, with the option of cancellation. Has this step been skipped when you tried?

I don't use Netscape or smartdownload so this option may not be available. When you right-click is there an option to "save target as"?
If done with ie you get the location box to download into before the download begins. Does smartdownload cancel this?
