You are more than welcome to any of my words. I think all of our messages are just part of a whole anyway. BUt I thought the same thing. Everything I write always feels awkward and inadequate--- especially when I really MEAN it. Parent note: Today is the first day of school. It's also the last first day of school we will ever have here. Ammo is starting his senior year. It's 5:30 and I can't sleep. I hadn't thought about this at all and this morning there is this realization, like hearing that you have twelve months to live. Next year there will be no Special First Day of School Breakfast. No weird creations or requests. No How Was the First Day? dinner. Next year we'll be packing up a u-haul again bound for places unknown with our last one. When I started posting at SI, Ammo hadn't even started high school and you and LS were childless. X must have still had one in diapers, Jeff's were in elementary school, but must now be young teens. It takes so much time and yet so very little time. Today is going to be a hard day I think.
