Raj,

GPRS doesn't have similar speed to 1X. Try less than 1/4 the speed at roll out for both products. CDMAone operators don't need "deals" to implement 1X, it is a simple network upgrade. GPRS reduces voice capacity on GSM systems, while 1X doubles voice capacity. GSM operators are stuck with GPRS!

Most of the GPRS deals will end up going straight to WCDMA.IMO Accelerating the deployment WCDMA and a NOK/QCOM 3G agreement is a win win for all inclusing GSM operators. When push comes to shove GPRS rollouts will be slow going
