Scumbria- I don't know what a speedpath is. Does intel plan to fix this problem? And if so, what prevents intel from fixing it now?

That's not true any more: With the new stepping all P3s (including the 1.13 GHz model) do work in SMP configuration. Look at the technical data sheets on Intels homepage for reference. There are also 100 MHz FSB models supposed to be available. Those could be used in existing corporate SMP systems. (with BX infrastructure) Of course they remain to be seen anywhere but on Intels papers.

Much more interesting is IMO the fact that P4 is an uniprocessor design. So much for the high end, corporate market...
