Ratbert,

A speedpath is a circuit which does not run properly at the current clock speed. Apparently the 1GHz PIII parts have a speedpath which only affects MP logic. They will have to fix it to get 1GHz PIII parts into SMP systems.

It often takes a long time to isolate and fix speedpaths.

Scumbria- I don't know what a speedpath is.

If you don't know what a speedpath is, who are you to be asking questions about steppings? Have you thought about applying for a job as a tech stock analyst?
