From a utilitarian view, the billions lost by investors overwhelm the millions made by Jermo. Jermo’s millions might be impressive to some bimbo at Burk’s, but I doubt he ever gets another chance to fail.

Why should a CEO know anything about what is happening in the field? That's for menials, not gods.

This is why I think Bell misspoke and confused software self installs for complete self-provisioning. It would not be the first time someone at the top misspoke. Didn’t Hearst say something about 1 million subscribers by 97’. For that kind of knowledge, Hearst gets millions?
