FiloF

Your explanation makes as much sense as anything I have read.

NTAP has a very explosive trading history, some of the unusual moves are not self-explanatory.

Cheers

NTAP Market Psychology

Perhaps there is an undercurrent here regarding the Compaq announcement. While NTAP had a great quarter they didn't VASTLY EXCEED expectations and post a BLOWOUT quarter. And that was without "competition" directly in their arena (so to speak). So there may be those who presume that the Compaq product launch will take a bite out of NTAP's market share.

If Compaq goes head to head with NTAP and fails to squelch their growth rate, we will see converts and born again NTAPers fervently rushing in to join the ranks. Until then I will continue to interpret the pullbacks as a buying opportunity.
