Gene,

Two weeks ago we told OEMs that we have added SDRAM as an option for the Pentium 4

Apparently certain members of this thread were way ahead of the rest of the world. They have know about this for months.

Intel said it has not totally abandoned its RDRAM plans and its roadmap shows that Intel
will use RDRAM for its performance line.

"No, we are not dropping Rambus from the mainstream segment," an Intel spokesman said. "We have
an SDRAM plan with our Rambus plan. And we are investigating DDR too. Two weeks ago we told
OEMs that we have added SDRAM as an option for the Pentium 4."
