Don't ask me, I've never done it. But I believe that I can do anything if I have the right tools and a good enough book. Although these days you can get a lot of home improvement info on the internet. I will look and see if I can find some links. <edit> start here: digital-librarian.com

I'm not sure how to get published, except that you have to send it to a potential publisher unless you have an agent. There are publications that are geared towards writers, that list the address of every magazine and the person to submit things to and a description of what they are looking for. You can use it at the library or buy it at a major bookstore.
