What's there to do at Apple? They're turning into the IBM of the era. Jobs can't stay there. He's bored to tears. He'll put out feelers and the powers will snatch him up. It is imperative that he gets into his old hitting mood or he won't advance to candidacy. It is that anti-Quiche property that makes him valuable. It is unknown though whether he still has that kind of moxie. Eating too much Silicon Quiche can make you soft and stupid.

Puleeeeeze, tell me it ain't so

Actually Jobs would probably be exactly what ATHM needs.

I have no clue as to his management skills, but I know the one thing everybody else knows- he has "it". He gets the consumer and he knows how to present things in a way that excites them.

The technical folks at ATHM are all in all doing an excellent job considering the size of the task. Where ATHM has completely flopped is in any field that relates to motivating the public. In other words Excite, Marketing, and Investor relations.

Oh there's this too: Sign up Jobs and ATHM closes the day @20.

It aint gonna happen though.
