hey rich

yes i've heard of more than a few folks running bid and za together to form a good team. from what i've read, za requires a whole lot more configuring than bid, in that one must write a rule for every occurrence. that is what norton personal firewall is like. i've seen people simultaneously running various combinations of two of the three programs mentioned, but not all three. perhaps there's a reason for that <g>. but i got to where i felt bid was unstable after networkice released some beta versions on us that were causing bsod's and the red engine-off slashes thru the tray icon. it made sense to add norton. now, after yet another upgrade, bid is behaving itself again. za looks good because of it's ability to protect against the netscape java hole. and, as you know, steve gibson did this big flip-flop on bid and za to where now za is his favorite.

thanks for your input

:)
